Renovations & extensions

Your home, extended.
Not compromised.

Striking Constructions builds extensions and renovations across Melbourne that honour the architecture of what's already there — and raise the standard of what comes next.

01

Bring your plans. We'll take it from there.

Most of our renovation and extension clients arrive with architectural drawings already in hand. Our role is to honour that design — every material call, every junction detail, every finish specification — and deliver it with the same precision we bring to a new build from the ground up.

We work with some of Melbourne's most respected residential architects. If your architect is on the plans, we already speak their language.

02

Earlier in the process?

Not every client arrives with a complete set of drawings. If you're at the site assessment or concept stage, we can connect you with trusted architects and designers from our network — and stay involved from the start to make sure the build and the brief stay aligned throughout.

What we bring to every build.

Craftsmanship

Renovations demand a higher standard than new builds — the existing structure is always watching. We work to the same level of care at every stage, from structural framing to the final coat of paint.

Architect Relationships

We’ve spent twenty years working alongside architects on projects where the detail is everything. We understand their intent, we respect the specification, and we raise site challenges early — not after the fact.

Transparency & Process

No surprises. Every project has a clear programme, honest financial reporting, and a single point of contact who can tell you exactly where things stand — at any point in the build.

Experience at Scale

Heritage homes, structural alterations, multi-level extensions, high-specification fitouts — we’ve built across the full complexity of Melbourne’s existing housing stock. If it’s on the drawings, we know how to build it.

Every room. Every detail.

A Striking renovation is considered at every level — from the spaces you move through daily to the junctions that define the whole.

Our process

A plan for every detail.

Managing a high-specification renovation or extension requires more than skilled tradespeople. It requires systems, accountability and leadership from day one through to final key.

Design & budget alignment

We review drawings and specifications against budget before a sod is turned. Cost surprises mid-project are a failure of process, not bad luck — and we treat financial management as a core part of what we deliver.

Detailed construction schedules, trade procurement and contract negotiation are handled with precision. The right subcontractors, engaged correctly, sequenced to the programme.

Our site supervision and quality assurance systems ensure workmanship standards are maintained throughout — not inspected after the fact. Every stage is signed off before the next begins.

Existing buildings carry unknowns. We identify structural, compliance and buildability risks early — and resolve them before they become delays or cost overruns. Value engineering is a last resort, not a default.

Handover isn't an event — it's the culmination of everything that came before. We complete a comprehensive defects review, provide full documentation, and remain accessible after the keys are handed over.

Built to be seen.
